What do I need to wear for adult ballet class?Adult ballet classes have generally much loose uniform requirements than if you attended a ballet school. You'll be fine with comfortable, stretchy exercise outfit. If you would learn about what to wear, read our ultimate guide.
-
Do I need to wear any specific shoes? For your first class, you'll be fine with socks or bare feet. But neither of those is ideal long term so making a small investment in ballet flats may give you a better experience. If you want to learn more about ballet shoes, read our dedicated guide.
-
Do I need to have previous ballet experience? You don't need previous ballet experience to attend our adult ballet lessons. Let's be clear though: The first lesson will likely introduce a lot of new information so your brain will need to work a little harder. But that goes together with starting anything new. That's why we keep the classes small (no more than 10 dancers) so we can cater to everyone.
-
Should I start with a group class, or a private? In the end this will be your choice. Our group classes are always tailored to whoever is present and we are going into detail so dancers understand the underlying principles of all the steps. Having a few privates can be beneficial as you get to drill down into areas that cause you're most concerned about, or try things you normally don't dare to try in a class.
-
How do I find your ballet studio? If you go to the menu and select 'Directions', you can navigate to the studio directly. The studio is at 567 Glen Huntly Road but you will be entering via Foster Street which is just off Glen Huntly. You can't miss it.
